LEADING THE WAY FOR PRACTITIONERS

Qualifi Level 5 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice

COURSE OVERVIEW

The rationale of the programme is to provide a career path for learners who wish to develop their aesthetic practice capabilities within the health and aesthetic sector – and is the final stepping stone to a level 7 qualification. The expected outcome of the Certificate, which is the achievement of a recognised UK qualification, is for learners to develop the skills required by organisations and the aesthetic industry globally. This qualification will prepare learners for employment and support a range of roles in the workplace. This qualification provides a specialist work-related programme of study that provides breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, along with practical skills required in the aesthetics sector. This qualification will help to prepare professional staff and managers of the future in the aesthetics sector. This qualification provides a generic core of mandatory units that apply in all aesthetics contexts.

Each week you will have the opportunity to attend zoom sessions for your online theory with your allocated Qualifi tutor. Your training will begin with an induction week which will include zoom sessions and reading materials.

Zooms will be held in groups and you will receive emails weekly with your allocated slot. These sessions are mandatory and are part of your guided learning hours (GLH) which you are required to fulfil throughout your learning. Failure to not meet the required GLH will result in non-certification from the Awarding Body.

Most importantly, you will have 7 months to complete all 5 units. Students are required to have completed all 5 units’ tasks and assignments in this timeframe. Failure to complete by this date will result in you not receiving certification from the Awarding Body.

All practical elements per unit will be scheduled in month 8 and 9 as well as written and oral assessment. These will be communicated to you at least 6 weeks prior in order to make the necessary travel arrangements. You will need to attend the academy for practical sessions for assessment, Internal quality assurance and the external quality assurance visits from Qualifi.

Case studies can be carried out within the student’s own clinic/salon setting.
